Friday the 13th: Five fifteen a.m. The alarm
breaks into my dreams and summons me to leave
the warm bed. A struggle at the best of times,
it is even more so today, given this is the
third time this week that I rise with daybreak
– and that is early when you live on
Hamburg’s latitude.

Taking
a French leave - Will France kill the Constitutional
Treaty ?
Europe's eyes are currently
riveted on 29th May 2005, the day when project
Europe could potentially start to unravel.
On that day, France will hold its referendum
on the Constitutional Treaty whose authors
had famously promised to bring Europe closer
to its people. So far with little success.
