EU regulations bring boom to Baltic skies
RIGA - Since the Baltic states joined the EU, the airline
market has gone from strong to stronger. The opening
of national borders and media awareness generated by
EU accession have led to a record number of passengers.
Estonian Air’s customer count grew 31 percent
in 2004, while Lithuanian Airlines’ soared 41
percent.

on Friday in that value-added tax on housing rent ought

was "no longer a European". Max, neither you
nor I can change geography. You are British by birth
and I was born in Germany - we are both Europeans whether
we like it or not.

Et les politiques français de se réjouir
de "la voie tracée" et de "l’exemple à suivre" pour
le référendum en France. La victoire du ’oui’,
si elle était un succès juridique, serait
dans ces conditions un échec démocratique.

Avec l’entrée de dix nouveaux pays dans
l’Union, alors que le montant des sommes allouées à la
PAC est supposé rester identique, la situation
n’est pas très rassurante. D’autant
que l’avenir est sombre, car l’objectif de
Bruxelles est clair, il s’agit de rendre réellement
compétitifs les produits européens sur
le marché mondial et pour cela il faut retirer
la perfusion. Du coup dans les campagnes, le patient
craint pour sa survie. Ministry says Polish version of EU constitution has

Deputy Foreign Minister Jan Truszczynski admitted yesterday
in the Senate that the Polish version of the European
constitution contains around 100 linguistic mistakes
and modifications.
State to explain EU Constitution
SLOVAKIA will receive over Sk2.3 million (€60,200)
from the European Union (EU) to promote understanding
of the EU Constitutional Treaty, which it will ratify
in May 2005, the SITA news agency wrote.
