while living in Paris for many years (when he
is not somewhere else in Europe). He is involved
in European affairs for 20 years, since as a
student he founded the first European students
network, Aegee-Europe. Franck is today working

think-tank Europe 2020. |

daughter. Gabriela worked for the past 12 years
in programs facilitating dialogue between citizens
and governments to accelerate democratic reform,
facilitating the smooth transition from centrally
planned political and economic systems to democratic
governance and market based economies. She graduated
from Bucharest Polytechnic Institute, specializing
in Aircraft Engineering and is an International
Fellow of the Georgetown University, Washington,
DC. Gabriela created and is successfully running
a Romanian non for profit organization, the Center
of Studies and Programs for Development (CSPD).

experience he develops work on this region’s
relations with the European Union, however, he
is mostly dedicated to the study and promotion
of social and economic development, believing

North to South and East to West of Europe, Marianne
Ranke-Cormier always felt as a European citizen.
That’s what pushed her to take part to
IDE (Initiative pour une Démocratie Européenne),
the first experience of a trans-European list
conducted during the 1989 European election.
In the same line, 15 years later, as a lawyer
specialised in trans-national cases for a French-German
office, she kept European activities as financial
and administrative coordinator of Europe 2020.

British citizen Adrian Taylor has moved house
nine times, lived in six countries and moved
residence back and forth over the Atlantic twice.
His German wife and European baby daughter have
now convinced him to operate out of Hamburg Germany.
He works for the Parmenides Foundation and its
daughter society Think Tools as scenario planner
and project designer, focused on EU foreign and
security policy, as well as international overseas
development assistance. He has a long history
of activism in various forms of European civil
society. |
